The National Association for Music Education is looking for an “audio logo!”
Think NBC, Intel, or NPR!
NAfME is holding a “talent search” among its members – retired, active, and Collegiate - who are interested in composing a musical motif and 3 different arrangements that will be used in a variety of applications for the association.
We are looking for a simple, short motif, and 3 arrangements that will be used to identify and promote our association. The compositional approach is up to you, but the strongest entries will use a variety of instrumentations and styles. The different arrangements of the motif will serve as
- Signal to the opening of the web site (or various web site portions)
- Lead-in to videos or webinar presentations
- Openings at ceremonial occasions (e.g., National Assembly)
Submissions should be professional quality recordings. The instrumentation may include acoustic instruments and/or synthesized and computer-generated sound sources.

The composer of the winning logo and arrangements will receive $500.
Entry deadline is February 1, 2012.
