About Tri-M News

A Newsletter For You and About You

Tri-M News, the newsletter for and about you and the other members of the Tri-M Music Honor Society™ is published two times a year. Five printed copies of each issue are sent in the fall and in the spring to all active Tri-M chapters. Additional printed copies are available upon request by e-mailing Tri-MNews@menc.org. In addition, an online addition is also posted on this page of the Tri-M Web site.

Tri-M News is written to provide an opportunity for national and international chapter and member recognition. As a source of information about chapter activities and current society events, it gives you a chance to share how you're improving your individual chapter operations. Each issue acts as a resource for ideas and activities you can add to what your chapter already does.

Send Us Your Chapter News!

Chapters are encouraged to send the national office articles and reports about chapter activities and member accomplishments along with photographs. Be sure to get your advisor's approval before sending something to the national office. Be sure to include:

  • Names of members involved
  • School name
  • School address
  • Chapter number
  • Caption for photographs (be sure, when submitting photographs, to tell us the photographer’s name and to give us either a glossy photo or an electronic file at a resolution of 300 dpi with a size of at least 3'' x 4'')

Send your articles and suggestions on how to improve the Tri-M News to Tri-M News, 1806 Robert Fulton Drive, Reston, VA 20191. The article deadline for the spring issue is January 9; the deadline for the fall issue is August 15.
